Plankton Energy Powers ShopRite of Passaic with 430.68-kW Rooftop Solar System
Plankton Energy has completed the installation of a 430.68-kilowatt rooftop solar system at ShopRite of Passaic, a major retail grocery store in Passaic, New Jersey. The new system is now delivering clean, behind-the-meter renewable energy directly to the store to offset a significant portion of its electricity usage.
Through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), ShopRite is purchasing the energy generated by the system at a rate lower than the local utility, resulting in immediate cost savings and predictable long-term energy expenses.
