Plankton Energy
Plankton Energy has partnered with St. Andrews Church in Framingham, Massachusetts to install a 305.3- kilowatt rooftop solar system, transforming the church’s facility into a clean energy hub — at no upfront cost to the congregation.
The project is part of Massachusetts’ broader effort to expand access to clean energy through the state’s SMART Program (Solar Massachusetts Renewable Target), which incentivizes developers to build community solar farms that deliver both environmental and economic benefits.
The 305 kW array turns an otherwise idle roof into a community solar resource. Plankton Energy developed, financed and built the system, owns and operates it, and enrolls local subscribers who receive credits on their utility bills for the electricity it produces. The church hosts the system at no upfront cost and with no maintenance responsibility.
